This work is one for flute solo and is written in F#-mi, that is in the phrygian mode on F#.
The first movement is in the sonata form, the second movement is in the lied form and stands in the major counterpart of the phrygian mode, which is the mixolydian one, while the third movement is written as a tarantellalike burlesque rondo. |
